Petia Tzokova

Biography

Dr Petia Tzokova studied Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Cambridge (Emmanuel College), before working in industry as a Structural Engineer. She returned to the University of Cambridge to pursue a PhD in Structural Engineering, focusing on the buckling and wrinkling behaviour of confined thin sheets. Petia then worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Cambridge (Department of Engineering). She now teaches undergraduates advanced structural design as an Affiliated Lecturer, is a research consultant working on graphical methods in structural analysis and design, and is working with the construction industry to help decarbonise the built environment at the Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction.
