Artist Juliette Losq’s (NC 1997) work features in two exhibitions this summer – X-Contemporary British Painting at Newcastle Contemporary Art and the annual exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy.
“Contemporary British Painting is an artist-led organisation that explores and promotes current trends in British painting through the activity of its members,” Juliette tells us. “I was asked to join the organisation this year. X brings together the work of over 80 artists and explores the huge spectrum of what painting can be. The exhibition marks the tenth anniversary of CBP.
“The RSA Annual Exhibition is the largest and longest-running exhibition of contemporary art in Scotland. The exhibition provides a platform for contemporary painting, sculpture, film, printmaking, photography, and installation, alongside work by some of the country’s leading architects. This is the third annual exhibition that I have exhibited in.”
