Congratulations to Griselda Heppel (NC 1975). Her book The Tragickall History of Henry Fowst has been nominated in the Children’s section of the Spring Collection of The People’s Book Prize 2016. The Prize was founded by Tatiana Wilson ‘as it is her ambition that new authors are given equal opportunity in the marketplace, based purely on their talent and ability. A perfect vehicle to discover writers’ talent voted by the public, raise the profile of libraries and celebrate reading.’ The Patron of the Prize is Frederick Forsyth CBE and the Founding Patron, the late Beryl Bainbridge DBE. Thanks to the support of her readers, Griselda was lucky enough to win the 2013 prize with Ante’s Inferno; she is now thrilled to be in the running again with The Tragickall History of Henry Fowst.
You can read an extract of her book here and if you like vote for it! The only judges of the People’s Book Prize are you, the public, so your vote really does count. Do leave a comment on the book, too, if you have the time. Voting is open until 15th May.
