College Open Days

Attending an Open Day is one of the best ways to get a feel for the College and learn about life studying and socialising here.  Our Open Days are relaxed, friendly and helpful: you’ll meet some of our current students and staff, and hear directly about what it’s like to be at Newnham and Cambridge.

Please note that as Newnham is a women’s college, our events are aimed at prospective female students. 

Mathematics Open Day - Saturday 4 May 2024

As part of the Faculty of Mathematics Open Day on Saturday 4 May, we will be open for tours of College and a Q&A drop in with our Director of Studies in Mathematics, Dr Orsola Rath Spivack, and our Admissions Tutor between 10am and 12:30pm.

For more information, please see the Faculty of Mathematics website. If you are interested in visiting Newnham, you should book an ‘Open College and Faculty’ ticket, which allows you to attend the talks at the Faculty of Mathematics in the afternoon and visit participating Colleges in the morning.

University Open Days - 4 and 5 July 2024

The University of Cambridge will be hosting in-person Open Days this year. There will also be a series of webinars prior to the visit days to provide more information on the application process, student finance and choosing a College. The July Open Days are aimed at prospective applicants in Year 12 or 13 (or equivalent) and prospective mature applicants (aged 21 or over), together with any parents or supporters. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore our University and Colleges and get an insight into what it is like to be a student at the University of Cambridge.

Newnham will be open to prospective students on 4 and 5 July, with the opportunity to explore the College, meet current students and speak with the Admissions Team.
